At 06:42 on 20 October the pass opened the Avery household: 1,906 holdings across seven accounts, $4,861,240 in all. It read everything against their policy in sixteen minutes and drafted four moves.
The first was a rebalance. US equity had drifted to 64.1%, above its 55–62% band. The draft sold $189,100 of the US total-market fund inside the 401(k), where the sale owes no tax, and bought the international fund. It cited clause 2.2.
The second was a tax-loss harvest: three lots in the brokerage account, each down $500 or more, $4,182.40 in all. The AI swapped them into a similar fund and checked every household account for a buy of that fund in the past 30 days. There was none.
The third swept $62,300 of cash above the 18-month floor into 4.1% T-bills until the Nov 2 bond rung. The fourth was a plan check: the Roth conversion window opens on Nov 16, and the draft sizes a $21,000 conversion to fill the 22% bracket.
I read all four before eight and signed them at 07:58. Orders went to the custodian at the open, 09:31. A normal morning.
