Dana spent eleven years building retirement income plans at a regional bank, where each plan took three weeks and was out of date by the time it was printed. At Tranche she reviews drafts the morning they are written, which means a household’s withdrawal order changes the week its tax bracket does, not the following spring.
Most of her households are within eight years of retirement or already drawing income. She signs an average of 23 moves a week, and rejects about one in nine drafts, usually because the client has told her something the data has not caught up with yet: a house sale, a pension election, a child moving back home.
She holds the CFP® certification and a master’s degree in financial planning, and teaches an evening course on Social Security claiming at a community college.
